Vaccination Coverage Among Adolescents Aged 13-17 Years - National Immunization Survey-Teen, United States, 2022
MMWR Morb Mortal Wkly Rep. 2023 Aug 25;72(34):912-919. doi: 10.15585/mmwr.mm7234a3.ABSTRACTThree vaccines are routinely recommended for adolescents to prevent pertussis, meningococcal disease, and cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). CDC analyzed data from the 2022 National Immunization Survey-Teen for 16,043 adolescents aged 13-17 years to assess vaccination coverage. Birth cohort analyses were conducted to assess trends in vaccination coverage by age 13 years (i.e., before the 13th birthday) and by age 14 years (i.e., before the 14th birthday) among adolescents who were due for routine vaccination before and dur...

Predicting HPV vaccination among Tdap vaccinated adolescents in Georgia at the county level
CONCLUSION: Examining Tdap vaccinated adolescents conservatively predicted HPV vaccination and controlled for multiple confounders such as vaccination ineligibility, vaccine exemption, and vaccine opposition. Within this population, public health professionals and clinicians could use these statistical models to target HPV vaccination efforts among non-Hispanic whites and rural communities at the county level.PMID:35358698 | DOI:10.1016/j.annepidem.2022.03.008

Characteristics and Perceptions Associated with COVID-19 Vaccination Hesitancy among Pregnant and Postpartum Individuals: A Cross-sectional Study
CONCLUSIONS: COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy was frequent among pregnant and postpartum individuals. Those who may face barriers to accessing healthcare services were more likely to report vaccine hesitancy. These results can inform interventions to increase COVID-19 vaccine uptake in pregnancy.PMID:35104382 | DOI:10.1111/1471-0528.17110

Vaccine exposure during pregnancy among privately and publicly insured women in the United States, 2016-2018
CONCLUSION: Maternal vaccination with ACIP-recommended vaccines was suboptimal among privately and Medicaid-insured patients, with lower vaccination coverage among Medicaid-insured pregnancies than their privately insured counterparts. Inadvertent exposure to contraindicated vaccines during pregnancy was rare. This study evaluated only vaccinations reimbursed among insured populations and may have limited generalizability to uninsured populations.PMID:34507857 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2021.08.091

Surveillance of Vaccination Coverage Among Adult Populations -United States, 2018
MMWR Surveill Summ. 2021 May 14;70(3):1-26. doi: 10.15585/mmwr.ss7003a1.ABSTRACTPROBLEM/CONDITION: Adults are at risk for illness, hospitalization, disability and, in some cases, death from vaccine-preventable diseases, particularly influenza and pneumococcal disease. CDC recommends vaccinations for adults on the basis of age, health conditions, prior vaccinations, and other considerations. Updated vaccination recommendations from CDC are published annually in the U.S. Adult Immunization Schedule. Despite longstanding recommendations for use of many vaccines, vaccination coverage among U.S. adults remains low.REPORTING PER...
