RECREATE: a study protocol for a multicentre pilot cluster randomised controlled trial (cRCT) in UK stroke services evaluating an intervention to reduce sedentary behaviour in stroke survivors (Get Set Go) with embedded process and economic evaluations
This study is a pragmatic, multicentre, two-arm, external pilot cluster randomised controlled trial with embedded process and economic evaluations. UK-based stroke services will be randomised 1:1 to the intervention (usual care plus Get Set Go) or control (usual care) arm. Fifteen stroke services will recruit 300–400 stroke inpatient and carer participants, with follow-up at 6, 12 and 24 months. The proposed primary endpoint is stroke survivor self-reported Nottingham Extended Activities of Daily Living scale at 12 months. P-028 Impact of the covid-19 pandemic on the intracranial aneurysm treatment and associated outcomes: a propensity score matching study
Conclusions and RelevanceThe COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the healthcare system and has led to changes in the treatment of various neurological conditions, including ICAs. The pandemic resulted in a shift in the treatment of SAH and an increase in endovascular procedures over open surgical clipping. COVID-19 infection has been associated with an increased risk of ischemic stroke and worsened outcomes for stroke patients. Improving door-to-reperfusion time in acute ischemic stroke during the COVID-19 pandemic: experience from a public comprehensive stroke center in Brazil
ConclusionAcute stroke care continued to be a priority despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The implementation of a thrombolytic bolus and the start of continuous infusion on the CT scan table was the main factor that contributed to the reduction of DNT. Continuous monitoring of service times is essential for improving the quality of the stroke center and achieving better functional outcomes for patients.

Contemporary outcomes of long-term anticoagulation in COVID-19 patients: a regression matched sensitivity analysis of the national inpatient sample
CONCLUSIONS: Compared to COVID-19 patients not on long-term anticoagulation, we observed lower in-hospital mortality, stroke and acute myocardial infarction in COVID-19 patients on long-term anticoagulation.
