Endovascular Treatments Performed Collaboratively by the Society of Korean Endovascular Neurosurgeons Members : A Nationwide Multicenter Survey.
Conclusion: The SKEN members have been responsible for the major role of endovascular treatments in South Korea for the recent 5 years. This was achieved through the perseverance of senior members who started out in the midst of hardship, the establishment of standards for the training/certification of endovascular neurosurgery, and the enthusiasm of current SKEN members who followed. To provide better treatment to patients, we will have to make further progress in SKEN. PMID: 31288507 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Predicting the survivals and favorable neurologic outcomes after targeted temperature management by artificial neural networks
CONCLUSIONS: The ANN-based models achieved good performance to predict the survival and favorable neurologic outcomes after TTM. The models proposed have clinical value to assist in decision-making.PMID:34330620 | DOI:10.1016/j.jfma.2021.07.004

Machine Learning-Enabled Determination of Diffuseness of Brain Arteriovenous Malformations from Magnetic Resonance Angiography
AbstractThe diffuseness of brain arteriovenous malformations (bAVMs) is a significant factor in surgical outcome evaluation and hemorrhagic risk prediction. However, there are still predicaments in identifying diffuseness, such as the judging variety resulting from different experience and difficulties in quantification. The purpose of this study was to develop a machine learning (ML) model to automatically identify the diffuseness of bAVM niduses using three-dimensional (3D) time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography (TOF-MRA) images. A total of 635 patients with bAVMs who underwent TOF-MRA imaging were enrolled. Three...

Remote Training of Neurointerventions by Audiovisual Streaming
ConclusionOnline streaming technology facilitates location-independent training of complex neurointerventional procedures through high levels of situational awareness and can therefore supplement live hands-on-training. In addition, it leads to a  training effect for fellows with a perceived improvement of their neurointerventional knowledge.

P53 ESMINT/EYMINT E-fellowship - experiences from two seasons and implications for future neurointerventional tele-observerships
ConclusionsTele-observerships may facilitate location-independent training of complex neurointerventional procedures through high levels of situational awareness. Future programs will have to incorporate individual training schedules to enable fellows to better attend complex elective procedures.ReferencesBechstein M, Elsheikh S, Wodarg F, et al. Guidelines for reasonable and appropriate care in the emergency department 3 (GRACE-3): Acute dizziness and vertigo in the emergency department
Acad Emerg Med. 2023 May;30(5):442-486. doi: 10.1111/acem.14728.ABSTRACTThis third Guideline for Reasonable and Appropriate Care in the Emergency Department (GRACE-3) from the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine is on the topic adult patients with acute dizziness and vertigo in the emergency department (ED). A multidisciplinary guideline panel applied the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) approach to assess the certainty of evidence and strength of recommendations regarding five questions for adult ED patients with acute dizziness of less than 2 weeks' duration. The intended pop...
