Efficacy and safety of immune checkpoint inhibitors for advanced non-small cell lung cancer with or without PD-L1 selection: A systematic review and network meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Although ICI plus PBC likely resulted in superior survival outcomes compared to ICI treatment alone, it did increase toxicity. Cemiplimab presented a well-balanced efficacy and safety profile in advanced NSCLC treatment. Our findings with the current ICIs comparisons will aid future trials for cancer immunotherapy.REGISTRATION: PROSPERO, https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/PROSPERO/, CRD42022323879.PMID:37596898 | DOI:10.1097/CM9.0000000000002750

Effects of primary granulocyte-colony stimulating factor prophylaxis on neutropenic toxicity and chemotherapy dose delivery in Chinese patients with breast cancer who received adjuvant docetaxel plus cyclophosphamide chemotherapy: a retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSION: Primary G-CSF prophylaxis effectively reduced the incidences of grade 3 or 4 neutropenia and febrile neutropenia, while enabling adequate chemotherapy dose delivery and reducing hospital admissions among Chinese patients with breast cancer who received adjuvant docetaxel plus cyclophosphamide chemotherapy.PMID:36261264 | DOI:10.12809/hkmj219439

The Treatment of Metastatic, Hormone-Sensitive Prostatic Carcinoma
CONCLUSION: The treatment of mHSPC is constantly changing. Phase III trials that are now in the recruitment stage, as well as our continually improving understanding of the underlying molecular-pathological mechanisms, will be altering the treatment landscape still further in the years to come.PMID:35912436 | DOI:10.3238/arztebl.m2022.0294

Structural, functional analysis and association of MSH6 rs1800932, rs1042821 polymorphisms with clinical outcome in North Indian lung cancer patients treated with platinum-based doublet chemotherapy
CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that MSH6 rs1800932 rs1042821 polymorphisms are involved in increasing the overall survival of lung cancer patients, further confirmed by computational analysis.PMID:35868444 | DOI:10.1016/j.amjms.2022.07.005

Paired box 5 increases the chemosensitivity of esophageal squamous cell cancer cells by promoting p53 signaling activity
CONCLUSIONS: As a tumor suppressor gene regulated by promoter region methylation in human ESCC, PAX5 inhibits proliferation, promotes apoptosis, and induces activation of p53 signaling. PAX5 may serve as a chemosensitive marker of ESCC.PMID:35191417 | DOI:10.1097/CM9.0000000000002018

Morning Chronotype Decreases the Risk of Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy in Women With Breast Cancer
CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that the morning chronotype is a protective factor against the development of CIPN in patients with breast cancer who were treated with docetaxel.TRIAL REGISTRATION: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT01887925.PMID:35132840 | DOI:10.3346/jkms.2022.37.e34
