Statins influence the relationship between ATP-binding cassette A1 membrane transporter-mediated cholesterol efflux capacity and coronary atherosclerosis in rheumatoid arthritis
CONCLUSION: In patients with RA, higher ABCA1-CEC may reflect a proatherogenic state, associated with enhanced cardiovascular risk. Design, methods and baseline characteristics of the Beijing Hospital Atherosclerosis Study: a prospective dynamic cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: This study has successfully initiated an investigation into the roles of new biosignatures in predicting CAD among Chinese Han patients undergoing CAG. To the best of our knowledge, this cohort is the first study systematically focusing on the association of lifestyle biomarkers and biological age with CAD risk. Prestroke statin use enhances collateralization in acute ischemic stroke patients.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that prestroke statin use was associated with good leptomeningeal collaterals and clinical outcomes in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients presenting with occlusion of the middle cerebral artery.
