Diffusion methods for aligning medical datasets: Location prediction in CT scan images
Graphical abstract: Highlights: Abstract: The purpose of this study is to introduce diffusion methods as a tool to label CT scan images according to their position in the human body. A comparative study of different methods based on a k-NN search is carried out and we propose a new, simple and efficient way of applying diffusion techniques that is able to give better location forecasts than methods that can be considered the current state-of-the-art.

Ovarian metastases from ileal neuroendocrine tumour: Multimodality imaging
We present a rare case of large bilateral ovarian tumours, secondarily revealing an ileal neuroendocrine tumour in a 71 ‐year‐old woman. Magnetic resonance examination showed bilateral ovarian, entirely solid lesions with a fibrous content and marked enhancement. Computed tomography was able to show a mesenteric retractile mass and a satellite suspicious ileal wall thickening. Gallium‐68 DOTATOC confirmed the s uspicion of digestive neuroendocrine tumour metastatic to the ovaries and the final diagnosis was made following radical surgery. Quality Improvement Fellowship Poster Presentation - Patient Experience Improvement, through Education in Preparation for Computed Tomography
Patient understanding and cooperation is essential for accurate diagnosis in CT imaging. The current model of patient education prior to CT imaging involves a brief verbal explanation of the exam. This may cause suboptimal image quality due to failure to follow instructions stemmed from anxiety/confusion. Suboptimal imaging could negatively impact radiological findings and cause extra radiation exposure to patients. In turn, this could lead to decreased patient satisfaction. Research shows accessible patient-friendly material can reinforce patient knowledge, gain cooperation and alleviate fears (Blanck& Marshall, 2011).

When to Introduce Three-Dimensional Visualization Technology into Surgical Residency: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Video consultation evaluation during COVID-19 pandemic in Juarez, Mexico
Conclusions: Pneumological VC facilitated access to specialized care, improved equity, cancelled exposure to SARS CoV-2, and saved time and expenses. The cost of consultation was reduced, and accurate treatments were prescribed. The resistance to this new format and the absence of physical examination, were the only hindrances in our context.

Procedures of brain death diagnosis and organ explantation in a tertiary medical centre - a retrospective eight-year cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Ancillary tests to confirm brain death are frequently performed, mainly in resuscitated patients.
