Medical and surgical treatment outcomes in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and immunodeficiency: a systematic review
ConclusionPatients with CRS and immunodeficiency likely benefit from ESS based on the available evidence. Data supporting medical therapy in this targeted population is limited overall, but there may be a potential role for immunoglobulin therapy in patients with PID and CRS.

A Comparison of Sphenoid Sinus Osteoneogenesis in Aspirin-Exacerbated Respiratory Disease.
CONCLUSION: Patients with AERD have significantly increased thickness of the sphenoid bone compared to control groups with the most pronounced difference in the intersinus septum. These findings may help clinicians increase suspicion for a diagnosis of AERD who clinically have diffuse nasal polyposis. PMID: 32660262 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Modified endoscopic Denker approach in management of inverted papilloma of the anterior maxillary sinus
ConclusionThe MED technique is highly effective for surgical resection of primary and recurrent maxillary IPs involving the anterior wall, providing complete access to the entire maxillary sinus. In many cases, the MED can obviate the need for an adjunctive sublabial or transseptal incision, while also providing excellent exposure for postoperative surveillance.

Evaluation of Neo-Osteogenesis in Eosinophilic Chronic Rhinosinusitis Using a Nasal Polyp Murine Model.
CONCLUSIONS: In the present study, we found the histopathological and radiographic evidence of osteogenesis using a previously established murine eosinophilic CRS NP model. Inverted papilloma is associated with greater radiographic inflammatory disease than other sinonasal malignancy
ConclusionIn this study, unilateral IPs were associated with a higher level of contralateral sinonasal inflammation when compared to control. This suggests that IP may be associated with inflammation that is independent of obstruction by the tumor. Further studies are needed to better understand the temporal relationship between chronic inflammation and tumorigenesis.

Economic implications of localization strategies for cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea
ConclusionThis work advocates HRCT as first ‐line modality to localize CSF rhinorrhea from a cost perspective. Although algorithms beginning with MRC were on average $35 more expensive than those starting with CTC, associated risks of CTC were not modeled and may play a role in decision making.
