Common concepts in separate domains? Family physicians’ ways of understanding teaching patients and trainees, a qualitative study
Conclusions: Finding common ground between these two teaching roles would support knowledge translation and inquiry between the domains of teaching patients and trainees. It would furthermore open up new avenues for improving training and practice for clinical teachers by better linking faculty development and continuing medical education (CME).

The scholar role in the National Competence Based Catalogues of Learning Objectives for Undergraduate Medical Education (NKLM) compared to other international frameworks.
Conclusion: The scholar role of the NKLM differs from other international outcome frameworks. Deconstructing the professional identity formation of basic science teachers in medical education
ConclusionIt is important to address the PIF of BSTs given their dynamic roles. Looking through the lens of the 4S framework, PIF is indeed a transition process. A structured, stepwise faculty development program, including mentorship, reflective practice, and a community of practice designed to foster BSTs ’ identities, should be created, taking into consideration the diverse factors influencing the PIF of BSTs.

Medical students as peer tutors: a systematic review
Conclusion: Results from this review suggest that there are many perceived learning benefits for student tutors. However, there were mixed results regarding the accuracy of peer assessment and feedback, and no substantial evidence to conclude that participation as a peer tutor improves one's own examination performance. Further research into PAL in medicine is required if we are to better understand the relative impact and benefits for student tutors.
