Epub 2022 Apr 26.ABSTRACTWhile the regulatory framework for medical education in Egypt has rapidly evolved, the progress of developing a system for continuing professional development has been slow. In 2018 the government approved legislation establishing a regulatory authority for continuing professional development and added expectations for continuing professional development as a condition of relicensure for physicians in Egypt. New activities and changing roles of health sciences librarians: a systematic review, 1990-2012.
CONCLUSIONS: While the main purposes of health sciences librarianship remain the same, the new roles represent major new activities so that, for many librarians, daily on-the-job work is completely different. Reimagining Education with Imagination
Credit: UNICEFBy Yasmine SherifNEW YORK, May 12 2021 (IPS) The month of May marks mental health awareness month or mental health awareness week in several countries around the world. Q&A: Critical issues facing aging Americans
More than 76 million Americans were born in the post-World War II boom, from 1946 to 1964. These baby boomers are now between 50 and 68 years of age — with an estimated 8,000 turning 65 each day. Geriatric physicians and gerontologists are hoping this “silver tsunami” will help change the way that medicine is studied, practiced and delivered to an aging national population, so that more Americans can live longer, healthier lives. Three UCLA geriatrics and gerontology faculty members — Dr. Cathy Alessi, Rita Effros and Janet Frank  — are among those at the forefront of this effort as the recently elected presiden...

What Can I Do About a Negative Online Review?
Conclusion While the vast majority of online reviews about healthcare professionals are positive, it can be very frustrating to see false, negative, and/or unfair comments posted about one’s professionalism and/or treatment practices or that of one’s clinic. Keep in mind that there are very few options in terms of response, and some responses, such as filing a lawsuit against the poster, will likely not benefit the healthcare professional, and will very likely generate more attention to the accusations in the post.
