The role of narrative medicine program in promoting professional ethics: perceptions of Iranian medical students
This study aimed to investigate Iranian medical students' perceptions of the first NM program offered in 2019. The study was conducted on 69 medical interns who participated in the weekly NM program that was part of the professional ethics course for two months. We used a questionnaire to determine medical interns' perceptions and personal attitudes toward NM. Three experts confirmed the validity of the questionnaire in Persian, and its reliability was verified by internal consistency (α = 0.879). “Infection prevention and control idea challenge” contest: a fresh view on medical education and problem solving
ConclusionsUsing innovation contests in pre-graduates is an innovative education strategy. It sensitizes medical students to the challenges of IPC and antimicrobial resistance and drives them to think about solutions. By presenting and defending their innovations, they deepen their understanding on the topic and generate knowledge transfer in both ways, from students to teachers and vice versa.

This study aimed to compare the effect of education by health care provider and peer on self-care behaviors among Iranian patients with diabetes. In this clinical randomized control trial, we enrolled 120 patients with type 2 diabetes who were referred to the Diabetes Clinic at a university medical center hospital in an urban area of Iran. Health literacy and fear among Iranian medical students due to COVID ‐19: An observational study
ConclusionsThe present study showed that students with higher HL scores had lesser fear of COVID-19. The key stakeholders require several positive strategies to reduce fear and improve health, and such vital policies will assist in improving the students ’ health and achieving the sustainable developmental goals.

Barriers of health equity in the Iranian health system from the medical ethics viewpoint
This study aimed at investigating the barriers to access to health-care services from the medical ethics point of view. Data were collected through a qualitative study by performing semi-structured interviews. Purposive sampling was used to recruit participants involved in health provision and/or management. Discharge against medical advice in paediatric patients
ConclusionThis study found that the key reasons for DAMA were as follows: lack of satisfaction with physicians and hospital staff, family disturbance due to the presence of other children at home, inadequate economic situation, and being away from home. Providing professional education to parents and expressing the benefits and disadvantages of refusing complete treatment may help parents make better decisions.
