ConclusionOur study revealed that participants have good knowledge about stroke. Nonetheless, further efforts are required to raise awareness and educate the public to optimize and ensure better treatment outcomes.

CONCLUSION: The association between health literacy and mental, physical, and social functioning 12-months post-discharge suggests that health literacy is an important factor to consider in post-stroke rehabilitation. Ethnodemographic characterization of stroke incidence and burden of disease in hospital discharge records in Ecuador
DiscussionDifferences in the burden of disease by ethnic group are likely to reflect differential access to care by region and socio-economic group, both of which are frequently correlated with ethnic composition in Ecuador. Equitable access to health services remains an important challenge in the country. The gender discrepancy in fatality rates suggests that there is a need for targeted educational campaigns to identify stroke signs early, especially in the female population.

Roadmap for the Assessment and Management of Outcomes in Pediatric Stroke
Neurologic morbidity is common after pediatric stroke, with moderate to severe deficits that can significantly impact education and social function. Care and recovery occur in phases distinguished by the time interval after stroke onset. These phases include the hyperacute and acute periods in which the focus is on cerebral reperfusion and prevention of neurologic deterioration, followed by the subacute and chronic phases in which the focus is on secondary stroke prevention and mitigation of disability through rehabilitation, adaptation, and reintegration into the community.

Factors associated with cognitive impairment at 3, 6, and 12 months after the first stroke among Lebanese survivors
ConclusionThe risk of PSCI among Lebanese stroke survivors was high especially in the acute phase, depending on various determinants. Health care providers are invited to implement an emergency rehabilitation program for an appropriate successful management of the risk factors in order to reduce stroke burden and to improve overall cognitive performance.
