The impact of body mass index on functional rehabilitation outcomes of working-age inpatients with stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: FIM outcomes were not associated to BMI, nevertheless each BMI category when individually considered (normal weight, overweight or obese) was characterized by different associations involving FIM outcomes and clinical factors. CLINICAL REHABILITATION IMPACT: In sub-acute post-stroke working-age patients undergoing rehabilitation, BMI was not associated to FIM outcomes (no obesity paradox was reported in this sample). Rehabilitation Course and Specification of Dysmetria of a Patient with Ataxia, Dysmetria and Hemiparesis Following a Stroke in the Corona Radiata: A Case Presentation
We present a case of a patient with ataxia, dysmetria and hemiparesis following a stroke in the corona radiata. The patient had an excellent clinical course with near resolution of symptoms in two and a half weeks, and returned and back to work fully duty and full-time a couple of weeks later. We use a video of severeal neurological tests to demonstrate and characterize the dysmetria. Interestingly, a key characteristic of the dysmetria appears to be different from that seen in patients with dysmetria arising from a cerebellar, thalamic or pontine lesion.

Effects of whole body vibration on muscle spasticity for people with central nervous system disorders: A systematic review.
CONCLUSION: Whole-body vibration may be useful in reducing leg muscle spasticity in cerebral palsy but this needs to be verified by future high quality trials. There is insufficient evidence to support or refute the notion that whole-body vibration can reduce spasticity in stroke, spinocerebellar ataxia or multiple sclerosis. Effects of Whole-Body Vibration on Motor Impairments in Patients With Neurological Disorders: A Systematic Review
Conclusions There is weak evidence for a positive effect of short-term whole-body vibration training on spasticity of lower limbs, mobility, balance, and postural control. Besides, positive effect of the long-term effect of whole-body vibration training on mobility in patients with neurological disorders. The optimal whole-body vibration training parameters in treating patients with neurological disorders remain unclear.

The reliability of gait parameters captured via instrumented walkways: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Current evidence suggested that, despite different populations and testing protocols used in the included studies, the test-retest reliability of the examined gait parameters was acceptable under single and cognitive dual-task conditions.
