Intra-and peritumoral hemorrhage in the meningioma of a nonagenarian due to administration of direct oral anticoagulants after mechanical thrombectomy
CONCLUSION: Peritumoral edema representing a pial blood supply might be a significant factor associated with intracranial hemorrhage due to DOAC administration in patients with meningioma. The evaluation of hemorrhagic risk due to DOACs is important not only for meningioma but also for other brain tumor cases.PMID:37292413 | PMC:PMC10246366 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_18_2023

Association of brain microbleeds with risk factors, cognition, and MRI markers in MESA
DISCUSSION: Results suggest differing associations for lobar versus deep locations. Sensitive microbleed quantification will facilitate future longitudinal studies of their potential role as an early indicator of vascular pathology.PMID:37289978 | DOI:10.1002/alz.13346

Lesion patterns and mechanism analysis of acute contralateral ischemic stroke accompanying  stenosis of unilateral extracranial internal carotid artery
ConclusionDiffuse and multiple infarcts were the most common topographic patterns in ischemic stroke contralateral to internal carotid artery stenosis or occlusion. Hemodynamic impairment of the contralateral hemisphere due to hypoperfusion and blood theft is regarded as the basis of stroke occurrence. Low ischemic tolerance and embolism are the main  causes of acute ischemic stroke.

Prediction of Occurrence of Cerebral Infarction After Successful Mechanical Thrombectomy for Ischemic Stroke in the Anterior Circulation by Arterial Spin Labeling
ConclusionThe AI of ASL-CBF before MT or a  combination of a history of atrial fibrillation, the AI of ASL-CBF before MT, and the time from onset to reperfusion can be used to predict the occurrence of infarction in patients arriving within 8 h after stroke onset in which reperfusion with MT was successful.

Evidence of neuroplasticity with brain –computer interface in a randomized trial for post-stroke rehabilitation: a graph-theoretic study of subnetwork analysis
ConclusionBrain–computer interface can promote the recovery of upper limbs after stroke by regulating VN and DAN. The correlation trend of weak intensity proves that functional recovery in stroke patients is likely to be related to the brain’s visuospatial processing ability, which can be used to optimize BCI strategies.Clinical Trial RegistrationThe trial is registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, number ChiCTR2000034848. Registered 21 July 2020.

Left Atrial Strain Derived From Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Can Predict Outcomes of Patients With Acute Myocarditis
CONCLUSION: LA reservoir and conduit strains derived from CMR are independent predictors of adverse clinical outcomes in patients with acute myocarditis.PMID:37271205 | DOI:10.3348/kjr.2022.0898
