Retinal and optic nerve magnetic resonance diffusion-weighted imaging in acute non-arteritic central retinal artery occlusion
Diffusion weighted imaging hyperintensity (DWI-H) has been described in the retina and optic nerve during acute central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO). We aimed to determine whether DWI-H can be accurately identified on standard brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in non-arteritic CRAO patients at two tertiary academic centers.

High incidence of epileptiform activity in adults undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
CONCLUSIONS: Seizures and ictal-interictal continuum patterns are commonly observed in patients managed with ECMO. Procedural and Methodological Quality in Preclinical Stroke Research –A Cohort Analysis of the Rat MCAO Model Comparing Periods Before and After the Publication of STAIR/ARRIVE
In conclusion, the frequency of periinterventional monitoring has decreased over time. Some general methodological quality aspects, however, partially have increased. CBF measurement–the gold standard for ischemia verification-was applied rarely. Despite the growing recognition of current guidelines such as STAIR and ARRIVE (both widely approved in 2019) reporting, methods and procedures mostly do not follow these guidelines. These deficits may contribute to the translational failure of preclinical stroke research in search for neuroprotective therapies.

Incidence of post-stroke depression symptoms and potential risk factors in adults with aphasia in a comprehensive stroke center
CONCLUSIONS: These findings align with earlier evidence identifying aphasia as a risk factor for experiencing PSD symptoms and also suggest aphasia severity is proportionate to the risk. Endovascular Thrombectomy Eligibility in the 0-24-Hour Time Window at a Large Academic Center in India
Conclusion: In our study, the proportion of AIS eligible for endovascular thrombectomy was comparable to the developed world. These data predict a large potential for the late-window EVT in India.

Small vessel disease and collaterals in ischemic stroke patients treated with thrombectomy
ConclusionOur study provides evidence that in patients with AIS due to LVO treated with MT, the burden of SVD assessed by pre-treatment MRI is associated with poorer recruitment of leptomeningeal collaterals.
