Short- and long-term continuous positive airway pressure usage in the post-stroke population with obstructive sleep apnea
ConclusionsWe demonstrated that the long-term usage of CPAP therapy is possible with most of the attrition occurring in the first 3  months. Upfront healthcare resource allocation to CPAP initiation and usage in this population may improve longer-term usage.

Reappraising the effects of pulmonary artery wedge pressure on right ventricular pulsatile loading
Conclusion: Unexpectedly, PAWP decreased RV pulsatile loading (as reflected in PA stiffness) when potential confounding factors, including the prevailing mPAP, were taken into account. Our results deserve further independent confirmation.

Right ventricular size and contractile reserve significantly correlate in patients with pulmonary hypertension
Conclusion: RV and RA area represent valuable and easily accessible indicators of RV pump function during exercise and might therefore be used for non-invasive estimation of right ventricular contractile reserve. CIPeak should be considered as an important clinical parameter. Prospective studies are needed for further evaluation.

Late Breaking Abstract - Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty for the Treatment of Non Operable Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension - Initial experience of a Belgian Center
Conclusion: In our cohort, we demonstrated that BPA improves most of the haemodynamics variables, including stroke volume index and pulmonary arterial compliance, without severe adverse events. Further studies for the long term efficacy of BPA are required.

Lower than expected pulsatile pulmonary arterial load in a thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension model
Conclusions: To our knowledge, this is the first documentation of a PH state where the mPAP-corrected indices of pulsatile arterial load (sPAP, PAPp) were lower than expected. The young age of the animals, the short-term nature of our analysis, or some specific features of the thromboembolic PH model may be involved.

Obstructive sleep apnea and specific cardiovascular outcomes
Conclusion: We have demonstrated a high prevalence OSA in respondents. We noted that arterial hypertension and cor hypertonicum were in correlation with the degree of OSA. History of myocardial infarction and stroke reach their peak in study group with AHI 15–30, although this conditions were much higher present in overall respondents with OSA compered to respondents without OSA. We have confirmed by increasing degree of OSA increases the percentage of specific cardiovascular outcomes.
