Fulminant Extra- And Intracranial Arteriovenous Thrombosis And Non-aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Following COVID-19 Infection
CONCLUSION: A high degree of suspicion for COVID-19 induced coagulopathy leading to extensive non- aneurysmal, non-hemispheric SAH and malignant intracranial hypertension should be entertained. Our experience and previous reports on non-aneurysmal SAH in such patients show a poor prognosis.PMID:37198510

Capsular warning syndrome and its clinical awareness and therapeutic approach: two case reports and a systematic review of the literature
ConclusionOur cases fit with the description of patients with partial recovery and risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, and smoking) in male patients. There is a lack of evidence regarding the best treatment option; dual antiplatelet therapy and anticoagulation therapy are strong contenders for a favorable result.

CSF-Based Volumetric Imaging Biomarkers Highlight Incidence and Risk Factors for Cerebral Edema After Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionsCerebral edema can be measured in a majority of patients with stroke on follow-up computed tomography using volumetric biomarkers evaluating CSF shifts, including in many without visible midline shift. Edema formation is influenced by clinical and radiographic stroke severity but also by chronic vascular risk factors and contributes to worse stroke outcomes.

Prediction of underlying atrial fibrillation in patients with a cryptogenic stroke: results from the NOR-FIB Study
ConclusionClinical risk scores may guide a personalized evaluation approach in CS patients. Increasing awareness of the usage of available AF-predicting scores may optimize the arrhythmia detection pathway in stroke units.

Predictive model of recurrent ischemic stroke: model development from real-world data
ConclusionThe hazard of recurrent IS magnitude differs during different time intervals based on the concomitant risk factors and secondary prevention.

Internal carotid artery dissection in a patient with hemophilia A: a case report and literature review
We report the case of a man with hemophilia A who developed sCeAD and transient oculo-pyramidal syndrome and was treated with acetylsalicylic acid. We also review previous published cases of arterial dissection in patients with hemophilia, discussing the potential pathogenetic mechanism underlying this rare association and potential antithrombotic therapeutic options.

RNA binding protein RPS3 mediates microglial polarization by activating NLRP3 inflammasome via SIRT1 in ischemic stroke
Stroke remains the leading cause of death and permanent disability worldwide and ischemic stroke represents 80% of all cases, which brings extremely serious consequences to the family and society.1 Ischemic stroke refers to the general term of cerebral blood supply artery stenosis or occlusion leading to cerebral blood circulation disorder, insufficient blood supply and brain tissue necrosis.2 Cerebral ischemic stroke occurs in middle-aged and elderly people, and arteriosclerosis and hypertension are the main pathogenic factors.
