Neurological Involvement in Primary Systemic Vasculitis
Conclusion Neurological involvement is a common complication of PSV (Table 1), and neurologists play an important role in the identification and diagnosis of PSV patients with otherwise unexplained neurological symptoms as their chief complaint. E-027 Matricidal cavernous aneurysms: a multicenter case series
Conclusion Matricidal aneurysms require careful consideration and planning. The restricted anatomy of the cavernous sinus can make successful execution of endovascular interventions difficult. Direct elastic compression of the parent artery does not respond to angioplasty and stenting the way that atherosclerotic stenosis does. Rupture of vertebral artery dissection aneurysm during 3D DSA
A 60-year-old man with a history of headache and vomiting had a subarachnoid hemorrhage on CT scan. On 2-dimensional (2D) digital subtraction angiography (DSA), a possible dissection aneurysm of the vertebral artery was seen (video 1 on the Neurology® Web site at Neurology.org). During 3D DSA, the aneurysm suddenly ruptured (video 2), with intracranial hemorrhage. The pressure of contrast was 200 psi, the rate was 2 mL/s, with a total volume of 12 mL. Characteristics of Accredited Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound Laboratories in the United States
CONCLUSIONSThe results suggest that there are significant differences between IAC applicant laboratories and laboratories represented by Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) claims data. In addition, accurate study reporting, physician training, and ongoing quality improvement activities may not be optimized in laboratories applying for accreditation. With the information learned from this study, educational strategies by professional organizations, including the IAC, can be tailored to help improve TCD practice.

Real-life experience with the specific reversal agent idarucizumab for the management of emergency situations in dabigatran-treated patients: a series of 11 cases
We report 11 real-life clinical cases in which idarucizumab was used after multidisciplinary consultation in a variety of emergency situations including severe postoperative bleeding, emergency high-bleeding-risk surgery (hip/spine surgery and neurosurgery), invasive diagnostic testing (lumbar puncture), intracranial bleeding (pre-pontine subarachnoid hemorrhage and lobar intracerebral hemorrhage) and thrombolysis with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator for acute ischemic stroke.
