Efficacy and Safety of Prasugrel vs Clopidogrel in Thrombotic Stroke Patients With Risk Factors for Ischemic Stroke Recurrence: A Double-blind, Phase III Study (PRASTRO-III)
CONCLUSIONS: We observed a risk reduction of 5% with prasugrel vs clopidogrel, indicating comparable efficacy. There were no major safety issues for prasugrel.PMID:35599000 | DOI:10.5551/jat.63473

High-Sensitivity C-reactive Protein and Intracranial Arterial Stenosis Predicted Recurrent Stroke and Dependence or Death in Minor Stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack
CONCLUSION: Concomitant presence of increased hsCRP levels and ICAS was associated with increased risk of stroke recurrence and dependence or death in patients with minor ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack.PMID:37704441 | DOI:10.5551/jat.64229

Comparison of Antiplatelet and Antithrombotic Therapy for Secondary Prevention of Ischemic Stroke in Patients With Peripheral Artery Disease.
Conclusions: Cilostazol and clopidogrel were more effective in preventing recurrent ischemic stroke without increased hemorrhagic events than aspirin in patients with PAD. PMID: 23269006 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Early Dual versus Mono Antiplatelet Therapy for Acute Non-Cardioembolic Ischemic Stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack: An Updated Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: For patients with acute non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke or TIA, dual therapy was more effective than monotherapy in reducing risks of early recurrent stroke. The results of the CHANCE study are consistent with previous studies done in other parts of the world. PMID: 24030500 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Risk of Stroke in Patients With High On-Clopidogrel Platelet Reactivity to Adenosine Diphosphate After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
In conclusion, in patients with coronary artery disease undergoing PCI, the presence of HPR to adenosine diphosphate is a risk factor for stroke.

Dual Antiplatelet Therapy with Clopidogrel and Aspirin for Secondary Stroke Prevention
This article aims at providing a comprehensive review of the evidence on the use of aspirin plus clopidogrel for secondary stroke prevention, with special focus on important studies that may impact clinical practice of treating patients with stroke or transient ischemic attack.

Safety of percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with acute ischemic stroke/transient ischemic attack and acute coronary syndrome
Conclusions The primary and secondary end points were not enhanced in patients undergoing PCI. Therefore PCI is safe in patients with stroke/TIA and concomitant ACS.

Efficacy and Safety of Using Dual Versus Monotherapy Antiplatelet Agents in Secondary Stroke Prevention: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Clinical Trials
Conclusions: DAPT decreases the risk of recurrent stroke and composite events compared with monotherapy. DAPT increases the risk of major hemorrhage, except if the treatment is limited to 30 days and does not include the combination of aspirin plus ticagrelor.PMID:33926204 | DOI:10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.121.053782
