MeSH and text-word search strategies: precision, recall, and their implications for library instruction
CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates the effectiveness of text-word and MeSH search strategies on precision and recall. The combination of text-word and MeSH strategies is recommended to achieve the most comprehensive results. Bard to pay $181m for DTC distributor Liberator Medical
C.R. Bard (NYSE:BCR) said today that it agreed to pay $181 million to acquire Liberator Medical (NYSE:LBMH), a direct-to-consumer distributor of durable medical equipment. Recommending Education Materials for Diabetic Questions Using Information Retrieval Approaches
Conclusions: This study demonstrated that topic modeling can mitigate the vocabulary difference and it achieved the best performance in recommending education materials for answering patients’ questions. One direction for future work is to assess the generalizability of our findings and to extend our study to other disease areas, other patient education material resources, and online forums.

A Scottish and Japanese experience of patient-centred diabetic care: descriptive study of interprofessional education on live webinar.
