The Effects of Mineralocorticoid Receptor Antagonists on Cardiovascular Outcomes in Patients With End ‐Stage Renal Disease and Heart Failure
ConclusionsIn patients undergoing regular dialysis who are diagnosed with heart failure, the use of MRAs is associated with lower risks of all-cause mortality and CV death. The benefits of MRA treatment in heart failure may persist in patients with ESRD. Further investigations through randomized controlled trials are needed to assess the efficacy and safety of MRAs in this high-risk population.This article is protected by copyright. Major adverse cardiovascular and limb events in people with diabetes treated with GLP-1 receptor agonists vs SGLT2 inhibitors

Risk of peripheral artery disease and stroke in migraineurs with or without aura: a nationwide population-based cohort study
Conclusion: Migraineurs without established cardiovascular disease had a significantly increased risk of PAD and stroke, and the risk of stroke persists in migraineurs with or without aura, with an increased trend of PAD in migraineurs with aura. Our study result should remind clinical physicians of the risk of PAD in the future among migraineurs even without established cardiovascular disease currently, and screening for PAD and stroke may be needed in caring patients with migraine.PMID:35919822 | PMC:PMC9339415 | DOI:10.7150/ijms.72119

Kidney transplantation waiting times and risk of cardiovascular events and mortality: a retrospective observational cohort study in Taiwan
Conclusions Our results demonstrate that early KT is associated with superior long-term cardiovascular outcomes compared with late KT in selected patients with ESRD receiving uncomplicated KT, suggesting that an early KT could be a better treatment option for patients with ESRD who are eligible for transplantation.
