Abietic acid alleviates endoplasmic reticulum stress and lipid accumulation in human primary hepatocytes through the AMPK/ORP150 signaling
This study investigated the impacts of AA on ER stress and steatosis in in vitro obesity models. We found that Treatment with AA reduced lipid deposition and lipogenesis-related proteins expression in human primary hepatocytes. Augmented expression of ER stress markers (phospho-eukaryotic initiation factor-2α (eIF2α) and C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP)) in palmitate-treated hepatocytes were reversed by AA treatment. Valdecoxib attenuates lipid-induced hepatic steatosis through autophagy-mediated suppression of endoplasmic reticulum stress
This study investigated the effects of VAL on lipid accumulation and lipogenesis in human primary hepatocytes. Treatment with VAL suppressed lipid accumulation and expressions of lipogenic genes, such as processed sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBP1) and stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD1) in palmitate-treated hepatocytes. Furthermore, VAL ameliorated dose-dependently palmitate-induced ER stress markers.
