LINC00668 promoted non-small lung cancer progression by miR-518c-3p/TRIP4 axis
CONCLUSIONS: LINC00668 acted as an oncogene in NSCLC progression through miR-518c-3p/TRIP4 axis. Our study disclosed a new mechanism of LINC00668 functioned in NSCLC and may give a deeper insight of the targeted therapy of NSCLC in the future.PMID:37718780 | DOI:10.3233/CBM-230154

RNF152 Suppresses Fatty Acid Oxidation and Metastasis of Lung Adenocarcinoma by Inhibiting IRAK1-Mediated AKR1B10 Expression
This study aimed to identify the role of ring finger protein 152 (RNF152) in LUAD. RNF152 was down-regulated in LUAD, and low RNF152 expression correlated with a poor prognosis in LUAD patients. RNF152 overexpression inhibited the proliferation and malignant phenotype of LUAD cells, whereas RNF152 knockdown exerted an opposite effect. Tumor cells overexpressing RNF152 showed less fatty acid oxidation compared with control cells, whereas RNF152 knockdown induced fatty acid uptake and oxidation. Further analysis revealed the binding reaction between RNF152 and interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 (IRAK1). RNF152 reduce...

Initial versus early switch to targeted therapy during first-line treatment among patients with biomarker-positive advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer in the United States
CONCLUSION: In both unadjusted and adjusted analyses, there were no differences in the clinical outcomes observed among patients with a/mNSCLC in this study. This study found that initiating chemotherapy with an early switch to targeted therapy (within 56 days) of receiving biomarker positive results may be an acceptable strategy for a patient for whom immediate care is needed.PMID:37717466 | DOI:10.1016/j.ctarc.2023.100761

Concordance of ctDNA and tissue mutations in NSCLC: A meta-analysis
This article includes a total of 15 research data and collected data reports from 15 groups of NSCLC patients. The results are displayed using tissue samples as the gold standard. The Pearson correlation coefficients of sensitivity and specificity were used to calculate rho=0.044, and P=0.893. The Q-test found poor homogeneity and high heterogeneity in sensitivity and specificity among research data from various literature studies (I2>50%, P<0.1). The area under the SROC curve is 0.97 (95% CI: 0.96~0.99). The small sample subgroup has high heterogeneity, and the combined diagnosis effect size is 26[6~111], lower than...

Effect of Yifei Qinghua Granule on the Tumor Microenvironment in Lung Cancer by Regulating the Inflammatory Pathway
Cell Mol Biol (Noisy-le-grand). 2023 Aug 31;69(8):118-124. doi: 10.14715/cmb/2023.69.8.18.ABSTRACTTo investigate the mechanism of action of inflammatory molecules regulating the tumor microenvironment and anti-tumor through Yifei Qinghua granules and phloroglucinol-containing serum intervening in the changes of tumor microenvironment in vitro in the co-culture of lung cancer cells and bone marrow cells. A549 lung adenocarcinoma cell line and ST2 bone marrow stromal cell line were selected and a transwell chamber was used to establish the co-culture system of the two kinds of cells. They were divided into normal saline, phl...
