The Usefulness of the TAPSE/sPAP Ratio for Predicting Survival in Medically Treated Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension
CONCLUSION: Medically treated CTEPH patients with a TAPSE/sPAP ratio ≤0.20 had lower survival rates. TAPSE/sPAP ratio≤0.20 combined with NYHA-FC III-IV was the independent predictor of poor prognosis.PMID:37861261 | DOI:10.5543/tkda.2023.78074 (Source: Turk Kardiyoloji Dernegi arsivi)

Hoarseness as a Predictor for Pulmonary Arterial Aneurysm and Extrinsic Left Main Coronary Artery Compression in Patients with Severe Pulmonary Hypertension
CONCLUSION: In this study, a close relationship was found between the presence of hoarseness and the probability of extrinsic LMCA-Co by enlarged PA in patients with severe PH. Therefore, the risk of LMCA-Co should be taken into account in patients with PH suffering from hoarseness.PMID:37861257 | DOI:10.5543/tkda.2023.63828 (Source: Turk Kardiyoloji Dernegi arsivi)

Long-Term Natural Course of Patients with Pulmonary Artery Pressures in the Range of 21-24 mmHg: Insights from a Single-Center Study
CONCLUSION: Our single-center observational study revealed that the individuals with an mPAP of 21-24 mmHg tended to have a worser prognosis than those with mPAP of <21 mmHg for up to 13-year follow-up.PMID:37861260 | DOI:10.5543/tkda.2023.65724 (Source: Turk Kardiyoloji Dernegi arsivi)

Longitudinal Follow-Up of Children With HLHS and Association Between Norwood Shunt Type and Long-Term Outcomes: The SVRIII Study
CONCLUSIONS: By 12 years after the Norwood operation, shunt type has minimal association with RVEF, peak Vo2, complication rates, and transplant-free survival. RVEF is preserved among the subgroup of survivors who underwent CMR assessment. Low transplant-free survival, poor exercise performance, and accruing morbidities highlight the need for innovative strategies to improve long-term outcomes in patients with hypoplastic left heart syndrome.REGISTRATION: URL: https://www.CLINICALTRIALS: gov; Unique identifier: NCT00115934.PMID:37795623 | DOI:10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.123.065192 (Source: Circulation)
