Ocular flutter
Hey, it’s a bit of a personal situation mixed into this question but is ocular flutter really that uncommon? I found a paper stating there’s only been like 50 described cases around the globe? Also, I know it can be paraneoplastic, paraifectious, toxin-related… but in most cases it’s idiopathic? Reversal of androgenic alopecia in Lung Cancer.
Has anyone heard of this? I have a patient who just presented with weight loss and headache- found to have CA lung (most likely, biopsy pending) and a cerebellar lesion. He has always been completely bald but over the past few months, his hair have grown back and now has a full head of hair!! Paraneoplastic suspect lung cancer
Hi, fascinating subject of paraneoplastic syndromes. Patient has low sodium and fatigue going on two years. Suspected paraneoplasic syndrome and underlying small cell lung cancer. Followed patient 18 months with CT chest/abdomen. Finally ordered PET/CT which came back with no suspicions. What would be your next move? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
