chemorefractory ovarian CA
I have a lady with surprisingly decent KPS who has failed 4th line chemo for ovarian CA. She's extremely motivated, and her disease is entirely intraperitoneal. Would any of you consider whole abdominal radiation in this case? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

B/B section bank #46, tissue type clarification
So this question was basically asking for me to identify the tissue types for ovarian cells and osteoclasts. I knew osteoclasts are bone cells so they're connective tissue, but I didn't know that ovarian cells were epithelial tissue. All I remember about epithelial tissue is that they consist of skin/lining stuff. Are there any exceptional examples I should know for epithelial tissue? Kinda like how connective tissue includes things like blood, bones, and fat. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

REI: clomid/IUI - trigger or no trigger that is the question
I was reading about Clomid/IUI on UpToDate about this for a friend and came across the following info that basically states natural LH monitoring + IUI is more effective than hCG trigger + IUI in Clomid cycles. However it seems to me that most centers -- including my med school and residency -- do use an hCG trigger! Why is this evidence being ignored? What does your center do? "For women undergoing CC ovarian stimulation, higher pregnancy rates have been reported when IUI is performed...
