Gout (ICD 10: M10): a retrospective analysis of the data from the histopathological arthritis register of the DGORh
CONCLUSION: Gout affects different anatomical regions with the first metatarsophalangeal joint being the main localization site. The sensitivity of clinical gout diagnostics was determined at 73.53%. These results emphasize the importance of histopathology in gout diagnostics.PMID:37851165 | DOI:10.1007/s00393-023-01435-1 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Rheumatologie)

Salidroside suppresses cell growth and inflammatory response of fibroblast-like synoviocytes via inhibition of phosphoinositol-3 kinase/threonine kinase signaling in rheumatoid arthritis
CONCLUSION: Sal suppressed cell growth and inflammation in RA-FLSs by inactivating PI3K/AKT-signaling pathways.PMID:37851166 | DOI:10.1007/s00393-023-01431-5 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Rheumatologie)

Structured approach for infected prosthesis
CONCLUSION: A structured approach for prosthesis infections oriented to an evidence-based algorithm provides a sufficient possibility of healing. An interdisciplinary approach involving cooperation between orthopedic and infectious disease specialists has proven to be beneficial. Surgical treatment with the aim of reducing the bacterial load by removing the biofilm with subsequent antibiotic treatment is of intrinsic importance.PMID:37851164 | DOI:10.1007/s00393-023-01421-7 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Rheumatologie)

Survey on the working, training, and research conditions of resident physicians in internistic and rheumatological continuing education-BEWUSST
CONCLUSION: Half of the trainee rheumatologists are satisfied with their professional activities, although mentoring of the assistants in training should be further improved. With respect to the desired combined clinical and outpatient activity, the existing options should be expanded or new professional fields of activity should be established, so that the specialty remains attractive for the upcoming generations.PMID:37847298 | DOI:10.1007/s00393-023-01433-3 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Rheumatologie)

Neurologic manifestations of Beh çet disease: rheumatology experience
CONCLUSION: Neurologic involvement is a rare complication of BD but is related to increased mortality and morbidity. Neurologic manifestations may be the initial symptom of BD, thus leading to diagnosis. Both neurology and rheumatology specialists should be aware of this rare condition.PMID:37848717 | DOI:10.1007/s00393-023-01436-0 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Rheumatologie)
