Ameloblastic fibroma: a report of 4 clinical cases and review of the literature
Discussion: Management can be conservative, performing enucleation and curettage with a very favorable evolution. Variable rates of recurrence have been described and a malignant variant has been identified, so long-term follow-up must be done. In the literature we found only single case reports, with most of the cases presenting in the mandible and undergoing conservative treatment with favorable results. In our series we did not observe recurrences, with good bone regeneration and receiving subsequent orthodontic treatment.RESUMEN Introducci ón: El fibroma ameloblástico es un tumor odontogénico mixto benigno y poco...

Metastatic angiosarcoma of the oral cavity: report of a case
We present a 66-year-old patient undergoing treatment for multiple digestive bleeding episodes, referred to the oral and maxillofacial surgery service of the Hospital de Carabineros de Santiago de Chile due to the presence of intraoral vascular lesions initially diagnosed as metastatic lesions of a gastrointestinal stromal tumour, with the final histopathological diagnosis being an aggressive and disseminated angiosarcoma. The clinical presentation of these lesions makes the diagnosis and, consequently, the management of this type of patient difficult. (Source: Revista Espanola de Cirugia Oral y Maxilofacial)

Alveolar soft part sarcoma of the tongue. A case report of a rare entity
ABSTRACT Alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) is a distinct soft tissue sarcoma among adolescent and young individuals. It accounts for 1 % of all sarcomas. It is a rare malignancy of the mesenchymal tissue that possesses an uncertain histologic origin. The increased vascular nature of this lesion leads to the dissemination of tumour cells through the connective tissue along the haematogenous route. Here we present a case of a swelling involving the tongue of a 19-year-old male patient and emphasize on the importance of diagnostic aids and management of this rare and unique lesion.RESUMEN El sarcoma alveolar de partes blandas...

Digital planning in the treatment of juvenile maxillary psamomatoid ossifying fibroma. Presentation of a case
We present the clinical case of a 15-year-old patient with a morbid history of hypothyroidism and hyperparathyroidism, who consulted for increased volume and displacement of teeth in the right maxilla. The histopathological result was consistent with juvenile psamomatoid ossifying fibroma. Owing to the hospital situation during the COVID-19 the treatment consisted of hemimaxillectomy with iliac crest autograft using digital planning.
