Effects of whole-body vibration exercise on functional capacity, muscle strength and thickness, and quality of life of post-COVID-19 patients: Case report
Alterations such as chronic fatigue, dyspnea, loss of muscle mass, joint pain, depression, anxiety, and heart palpitations have been described as symptoms of individuals who have been affected by COVID-19 (Salamanna et al., 2021). Aerobic and strength training programs improve metabolic equivalent-to-task levels, muscle strength, physical function, and the ability to exercise (Mayer et al., 2021). Assessment and management patterns for chronic musculoskeletal pain in the family practice setting
Chronic pain affects 11% of the US population. Most patients who experience pain, particularly chronic musculoskeletal pain, seek care in primary care settings. Assessment of the patient pain experience is the cornerstone to optimal pain management; however, pain assessment remains a challenge for medical professionals. It is unknown to what extent the assessment of pain intensity is considered in context of function and quality of life. (Source: Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies)

Cutting to the chase on knee osteoarthritis rehabilitation: An overview of Cochrane reviews
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic disease and one of the leading causes of disability worldwide (Safiri et al., 2020). Also, osteoarthritis is associated with high costs globally (Losina et al., 2015). Hips and knees are the most common affected joints and its prevalence have doubled within 10 years (Palazzo et al., 2016). One in four people over 50 years old will have knee osteoarthritis throughout their lives (Litwic et al., 2013). Typical symptoms of knee osteoarthritis include pain, stiffness in the morning, muscle weakness and functional limitation (Hunter and Bierma-Zeinstra, 2019). Acute effect of dry needling on trunk kinematics and balance of patients with non-specific low back pain
It appeared that the pathological type of torso movement was acutely affected by DN. NS-LBP patients showcased smoother movement immediately after the intervention and better control as imprinted in the higher derivative of motion although range of motion did not improve. This quantitative variable may not be subjected to acute effects of DN but rather need additional time and training to be improved. (Source: Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies)

Relationship between ankle dorsiflexion range of motion and sprinting and jumping ability in young athletes
To investigate the relationship between predicted risk of injury based on the dichotomous classification of the weight-bearing lunge (WBL) test scores and variables related to jumping and sprinting ability in young athletes. Furthermore, to compare the impact of the classical dichotomous classification versus a more specific quartile subdivision of the WBL test scores on the explored variables. Reductions in rearfoot eversion posture due to proximal muscle strengthening are dependent on foot-ankle varus alignment
Strengthening the hip and trunk muscles may decrease foot protonation in upright standing due to expected increases in hip passive torque and lower-limb external rotation. However, considering the increased protonation caused by a more varus foot-ankle alignment, subjects with more varus may experience smaller or no postural changes after strengthening. Characteristics of bowen therapy practitioners and practice in Australia: An exploratorysecondary analysis of the practitioner research and collaboration initiative (PRACI) practice-based research network
Bowen Therapy (BT) is a non-invasive manual therapy used to treat muscle pain and discomfort, poor flexibility and imbalances in the body's tissues. Globally, the BT profession comprises a small, but widely dispersed, network of practitioners. While a small pool of preliminary clinical research has begun to investigate the effectiveness of BT for a range of conditions, the investigation of the practice of BT remains extremely limited. Neurofascialvascular training for carpal tunnel syndrome as an evolution of neurodynamic treatment: A case report
In this case report a new approach called neurofascialvascular training (NFVT) is described. NFVT consists of two mechanisms which improve mechanosensitivity in carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The first involves increased blood flow in the nerve microcirculation, while the second stimulates the reciprocal sliding between the thin sheets of connective tissue inside the nerve. The goal of these two actions is to squeeze, mobilize and reduce intraneural edema. The novelty of this approach is the simultaneous involvement of multiple physiological systems to reduce nerve mechanosensitivity. (Source: Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies)

The relationship between the psoas major muscle morphology characteristics with disability index and pain in patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain
Chronic nonspecific low back pain (CNLBP) is a common disorder in people of active ages and significantly affects their quality of life. Different structures in the lumbar area are cause LBP. The lumbar muscle disorders, including the psoas major (PM) muscles, have an essential role in LBP. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has been introduced as a safe and useful instrument for investigating the morphological properties of skeletal muscle. In general, PM morphology changes may be one reason for the pain and disability experienced in CNLBP patients. (Source: Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies)
