A clinician's guide to performing a case series study
Whilst some guidance exists, the literature is relatively scarce on designing and reporting on case series studies for non-surgical techniques/interventions or interventions that may be considered outside the medical model. This commentary presents a set of thirteen design attributes and an adapted checklist for consideration by clinicians when considering a case series design focused on a non-surgical intervention. External focus instruction using a soft paper balloon on muscle activation patterns in isometric hip abduction exercises: A comparative analysis with external resistance tools
This study investigates a novel isometric method utilizing an external focus instruction technique with a soft paper balloon. By emphasizing control to avoid crushing the balloon, this method promotes co-contraction of muscles without exerting pressure on the object. We aim to evaluate differences in muscle activation patterns during isometric hip abduction exercises between the paper balloon task and tasks using external resistance (hard plastic, non-elastic, and elastic bands), and further determine their influence on the contralateral side. Effects of head and neck pattern OF PNF combined with conventional balance training in older adults with balance impairment – A Randomized control Trial
Falls are a prevalent and serious concern among individuals in their older life. Residual impairments, such as balance and gait deficiencies, reduced sensory processing, and diminished strength, are the common causes of falls. Balance and mobility deficits can last for years and are linked to a high rate of falls (>6 months). Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation is neuromuscular re-education in which sensory receptors are stimulated to provide information regarding body posture and movement. Core stabilization exercises versus yoga on feedforward activation of core muscles in chronic mechanical low back pain: An experimental study
Low back pain (LBP) is one of the significant general health issues faced by the present society. It has led to the deterioration of functional status and increase in financial burden(Demirel et al., 2019). It is characterized as the pain between 12th ribs and inferior gluteal fold either with or without pain referring to lower extremities(Kapetanovic et al., 2016). Back pain persisting for more than three months is referred as chronic LBP (CLBP) as per the National Institutes of Health (NIH) task force. (Source: Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies)

Acceptability of a new therapeutic horseback riding program and its impact on the functional capacity of older adults
Illness and dependence are not seen as inevitable consequences of old age. It is understood that there is a difference between chronological aging (passage of time), biological aging or senescence (increased sensitivity to aggressions from the internal and external environment) and senility (the pathological development of diseases) (Gordon and Hubbard, 2022; Traphagan, 2005). There is also social aging related to how people perform their functions in the environment in which they are inserted (Charles and Carstensen, 2010). Efficacy of specific exercises in general population with non-specific low back pain: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Localized exercises are employed to activate, train, or restore the function of particular muscles and they are usually considered as part of treating individuals suffering low back pain. So, this systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the efficacy of specific exercises in general population with non-specific low back pain (LBP).
