Post-infection irritable bowel syndrome following Coronavirus disease-19: A systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionsPatients with COVID-19 are more likely to develop post-COVID-19  IBS than healthy controls. The heterogeneity of studies, different criteria used by various studies to diagnose post-COVID-19 IBS and some studies not meeting the six-month follow-up duration of the Rome criteria for diagnosing IBS are limitations of this systematic review.Graphical abstract (Source: Indian Journal of Gastroenterology)

Trend analysis of proton pump inhibitor consumption and expenditure: The real-world evidence
ConclusionWithin this analysis, we provide an illustrative representation of the prescribing trends for PPIs within a European context. Omeprazole, rabeprazole and lansoprazole appear to be the cheapest drugs compared to pantoprazole and esomeprazole. However, the results show that the most widely used PPIs, despite their therapeutic equivalence, are precisely the high-cost ones, thus generating higher expenditure for central governments.Graphical Abstract (Source: Indian Journal of Gastroenterology)

Outcome of forgotten biliary stents for more than five  years—A two-decade experience
ConclusionsProlonged duration (>  5 years) of forgotten stent is uncommon and is observed most commonly in patients with choledocholithiasis. The most common complication of long duration of forgotten stents was cholangitis followed by internal migration, pancreatitis and portal hypertension. Stone and stent removal was successf ul in a majority of patents, while surgery was required in less number of patients.Graphical abstract (Source: Indian Journal of Gastroenterology)
