Experiences and difficulties for primary caretakers of children with celiac disease — A qualitative study
ConclusionThe current study gave an understanding of how PCTs dealt with a child ’s CeD. The difficulties and worries of caretakers should be taken into consideration and appropriate recommendations made to lessen the strain of managing the child’s CeD and the daily obstacles associated with it.Graphical abstract (Source: Indian Journal of Gastroenterology)

Application and impact of Lasso regression in gastroenterology: A systematic review
In this study, we aimed at systematically reviewing the application of Lasso regression in gastroenterology for developing predictive models and providing a method of performing Lasso regression. A comprehensive search strategy was conducted in PubMed, Embase and Cochrane CENTRAL databases (Keywords: lasso regression; gastrointestinal tract/diseases) following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Studies were screened for eligibility based on pre-defined selection criteria and the  data was extracted using a standardized form. Total 16 studies were included, comprisi...

Prevalence of hepatic encephalopathy in patients with non-cirrhotic portal hypertension: A systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionAround one-third of the patients with NCPH have MHE, irrespective of age group. OHE is extremely rare in NCPH and is usually associated with a precipitating factor. (Source: Indian Journal of Gastroenterology)

A study of genetic variants, genetic risk score and DNA methylation of PNPLA3 and TM6SF2 in alcohol liver cirrhosis
ConclusionWe found that a genetic risk score based on SNPs in thePNPLA3 andTM6SF2 genes was significantly associated with cirrhosis in patients with AUD, suggesting a potential utility in identifying patients at risk and providing pre-emptive interventions. These may include interventions that aim to alter DNA methylation, which may be one of the mechanisms through which elevated genetic risk may influence the  development of cirrhosis.Graphical abstract (Source: Indian Journal of Gastroenterology)
