Prognosis of COVID-19 severity using DERGA, a novel machine learning algorithm
In conclusion, our novel approach provides a robust model based only on basic hematological parameters for predicting the risk for ICU admission and optimize COVID-19 patient management in the clinical practice.PMID:38458880 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejim.2024.02.037 (Source: European Journal of Internal Medicine)

Cardiometabolic risk stratification using a novel obesity phenotyping system based on body adiposity and waist circumference
CONCLUSIONS: A more detailed phenotyping should be a priority in the diagnosis and management of patients with obesity. Our classification system allows to gradually estimate the cardiometabolic risk according to BF% and WC, thus representing a novel and useful tool for both research and clinical practice.PMID:38453570 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejim.2024.02.027 (Source: European Journal of Internal Medicine)
