Secondary pigmentary glaucoma following cosmetic laser treatment to alter iris colour
We report on a rare case of bilateral secondary pigmentary glaucoma, in a young patient who underwent such a treatment to cause a change in iris pigmentation. Data on the safety of such procedures are lacking. Ophthalmic healthcare professionals should be aware of the potentially devastating consequences and encourage caution in patients seeking this novel treatment. (Source: Contact Lens and Anterior Eye)

The 75th anniversary of the Tuohy corneal contact lens: A review
The aim of this review is to mark the 75th anniversary of the introduction of the original corneal contact lens of Tuohy in 1948.American documents in the public domain, such as census records and draft registration cards, were consulted in order to provide a more comprehensive biography of Kevin M Tuohy, inventor of the corneal contact lens, than those previously published.Perhaps due to a failure to consult original sources concerning the Tuohy corneal lens, some historical accounts have provided incomplete or incorrect information about its design and dimensions. The broad church of international contact lens societies
There are many national professional membership societies for contact lens practitioners such as the Contact Lens Society of America or the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia or the Algemene Nederlandse Vereniging van Contactlensspecialisten (Netherlands), to only name a few. Other societies, such as the British Contact Lens Association or the European Contact Lens Society of Ophthalmologists, for example, perhaps have a more global reach. There are also a number of contact lens societies and associations that aim to be more international but with limited membership. (Source: Contact Lens and Anterior Eye)

The effect of back optic zone diameter on relative corneal refractive power distribution and corneal higher-order aberrations in orthokeratology
To compare axial elongation, relative corneal refractive power (RCRP) distribution within the pupillary diameter, and corneal higher-order aberrations (HOAs) in myopic children wearing orthokeratology (ortho-k) lenses with different back optic zone diameters (BOZD). Scheimpflug imaging for grading and measurement of corneo-scleral-profile in different quadrants
The corneo-scleral-profile (CSP) describes the transition from cornea to sclera, while the corneo-scleral junction angle (CSJ), is the angle formed between the cornea and the sclera. The aims of this study were (i) to analyse the CSP and CSJ in different quadrants and (ii) to test correlation and repeatability of an established observational grading and measurement method, using Scheimpflug images. Is contact lens discomfort related to meibomian gland morphology?
To examine the relationship between contact lens (CL) discomfort and meibomian gland (MG) morphology assessed by a semi-objective software in subjects without an alteration of MG function (meibum quality and expressibility). (Source: Contact Lens and Anterior Eye)
