Endovascular Therapy in Acute Isolated Posterior Cerebral Artery Occlusion
ConclusionThese results support the feasibility and safety of EVT in iPCAO, but do not show an outcome benefit with EVT compared to best medical treatment. Randomized trials are needed to evaluate treatment benefit of EVT in these patients. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Quantification and Proximal-to-Distal Distribution Pattern of Tibial Nerve Lesions in Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis
ConclusionPNS involvement in RRMS is characterized by a  decrease in T2app and an increase in  ρ, occurring with proximal predominance at the thigh and the lower leg. Our results indicate microstructural alterations in the extracellular matrix of peripheral nerves in RRMS and may contribute to a better understanding of the pathophysiologic relevance of PNS involvement. Is Crash Loading Acceptable in Carotid Artery Stenting?
ConclusionWith the medical regimen used in this study, urgent CAS with CL APT did not produce more ischemic, thrombotic and hemorrhagic complications than longer loading times. However, careful patient selection might be crucial and adequate loading times should remain the standard of care. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Angioarchitecture of the Normal Lateral Spinal Artery and Craniocervical Junction Arteriovenous Fistula Using Contrast-enhanced Cone-beam CT
ConclusionThis is the first report that visualized the LSA ’s normal anatomy using slab MIP images from 3D-RA and CE-CBCT. Knowledge of LSA anatomy is critical to avoid complications during the treatment of CCJAVF. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Outcomes Following Mechanical Thrombectomy in Different Etiological Subtypes of Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion
ConclusionThe functional outcome following EVT for VBOS might depend on stroke etiology. According to our results, ESUS seems to be associated with the worst outcome, which needs further investigation to tailor the appropriate therapeutic plan. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Collateral Capacity Assessment
ConclusionBecause of the good interobserver agreement and good agreement with quantitative assessment, the extended collateral score is a  strong candidate to improve prognostic value of collateral assessment and implementation in clinical practice. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

White Matter Characteristics of Damage Along Fiber Tracts in Patients with Type  2 Diabetes Mellitus
ConclusionUsing AFQ, together with DTI and NODDI, various kinds of microstructural alterations in the right SLF, right ARC, left ATR, and FMA can be accurately identified and may be associated with insulin and glucose status and blood pressure in T2DM patients. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Acute Ischemic Stroke in Pregnancy
ConclusionFetal safety concerns should not preclude routine diagnostic work-up (except for gadolinium contrast media administration) in childbearing AIS women, including procedures applied in unknown onset and late onset individuals. Due to rather low added risk of serious treatment complications, pregnancy should not be a  sole contraindication for neither IVT, nor endovascular treatment. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)
