Fragmentation of Hydrophilic Guidewire Coatings During Neuroendovascular Therapy
ConclusionBackloading of polymer-coated microguidewires during EVT should be minimized if possible. More stable hydrophilic coatings on microguidewires and less traumatic insertion tools are desirable. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Temporal Evolution of Perihematomal Blood-Brain Barrier Compromise and Edema Growth After Intracerebral Hemorrhage
ConclusionThe perihematomal BBB permeability is dynamic changes, and edema growth is gradually increased in patients following intracerebral hemorrhage. BBB compromise plays an essential role in edema growth. The quantitative assessment of BBB compromise may provide valuable information in therapeutic interventions of intracerebral hemorrhage patients. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Specialist Perspectives on the Imaging Selection of Large Vessel Occlusion in the Late Window
ConclusionInterventionists were less likely to use advanced imaging techniques in selecting LVO patients presenting in the late window and more likely to base their decisions on their assessment of evidence rather than published guidelines. These results reflect gaps between interventionists and non-interventionists reliance on clinical guidelines, the limits of available evidence, and clinician belief in the utility of advanced imaging. Adult-type and Pediatric-type Diffuse Gliomas
This article provides a detailed overview of important molecular, morphological, and clinical aspects for all 11 entities, such as typical genetic alterations, age distribution, variability of the tumor localization, variability of histopathological and radiological findings within each entity, as well as currently available statistical information on prognosis and outcome. Important differential diagn oses are also discussed. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Deep Learning-based Assessment of Internal Carotid Artery Anatomy to Predict Difficult Intracranial Access in Endovascular Recanalization of Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionThe association between ICA angle and EVT duration could be verified and a  DL-based method for semi-automatic assessment with the potential for full automation was developed. More anatomical features of interest could be examined in a similar fashion. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Spectrum of Complications and Complication Rates After Diagnostic Catheter Angiography in Neuroradiology
ConclusionThere is a  definite risk for complications after diagnostic angiography. Although a very broad spectrum of complications was considered, complications in the individual subgroups showed a low incidence. (Source: Clinical Neuroradiology)

Patterns of Visual Task-based Functional MRI Activation in Chronic Posterior Cerebral Artery Stroke Patients
ConclusionIn chronic PCA stroke patients with residual visual impairments, the brain attempts to recruit more neighboring and distant functional areas for executing the impaired visual skill. This intense recruitment pattern in poorly recovering patients appears to be a  sign of failed compensation. Consequently, fMRI has the potential for clinically relevant prognostic assessment in patients surviving PCA stroke; however, as this study included no longitudinal data, this potential should be further investigated in longitudinal imaging studies, with a larger coho rt, and multiple time points. Prone Dynamic CT Myelography in Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension
This study evaluates the diagnostic needs of dCT-M examinations and measures to reduce radiation doses.MethodsFrequency, leak sites, length and number of spiral acquisitions, DLP and effective doses of dCT ‑M were retrospectively recorded in patients with ventral dural tears.ResultsOf 42  patients with ventral dural tears, 8 underwent 11 dCT‑M when the leak was not unequivocally shown on digital subtraction myelography. The median number of spiral acquisitions was 4 (range 3–7) and the mean effective radiation dose 30.6 mSv (range 13.1–62.16 mSv) mSv. Five of eight leaks wer e located in the upper thoracic spine ...
