Retrograde transvenous selective lymphatic duct embolization in post donor nephrectomy chylous ascites
We present two patients with post donor nephrectomy-related chylous leaks who failed conservative treatment. In both cases, lymphangiography was done first to detect the chylous leak site in the left renal fossa, and thereafter transvenous retrograde approach via left subclavian vein with selective lymphatic duct embolization of chylous leak was done with coils and glue successfully. Chylous ascites resolved in both patients after the embolization. Hence retrograde transvenous embolization technique appears to be an effective management option for refractory chylous leaks. A case of IgA vasculitis with necrotizing arteritis in a 13-year-old girl
AbstractIgA vasculitis (IgAV) is the most frequent form of vasculitis in childhood which classically presents with purpura of the lower extremities, joint pain or swelling and abdominal pain. Though it is a self-limiting disease, and its prognosis is generally good, glomerulonephritis is one of the most important complications. IgAV is classified as a small vessel vasculitis, and though glomerulonephritis develops in IgAV, necrotizing arteritis is rarely seen. Here, we present a case of a 13-year-old girl with IgAV, glomerulonephritis, and necrotizing arteritis in the small renal arteries. There have been only a few report...

A case of ureteral fungal mass removal in a patient taking empagliflozin
We present the case of a 67-year-old Caucasian female who was admitted for emphysematous pyelitis and found to have a fungal ball in the renal pelvis.Candida glabrata was cultured and the patient was managed with percutaneous nephrostomy tube placement and antifungal treatment. The fungal ball persisted and required surgical removal with ureteroscopy and basket extraction. Fungal balls can be a difficult sequelae of UTIs requiring a combination of antifungal and surgical intervention for definitive management. (Source: CEN Case Reports)

A case of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease with amelioration of refractory cyst infections following prolonged hemodialysis time
In this report, we describe a case of an HD patient with ADPKD that was provided elongation of HD time from 4-h twice weekly HD to 8-h thrice weekly nocturnal HD. As a result, the frequency of cyst infection episodes decreased from 10.0 to 1.5  days a month. Our findings suggest that prolonged HD time might contribute to amelioration of refractory cyst infections in patients with ADPKD. (Source: CEN Case Reports)
