The association of total pulses with the efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for treatment-resistant major depression: A dose-response meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest higher doses(total pulses) of rTMS were not always associated with increased improvement of depressive symptoms in patients with TRD, and that the dose-response relationship was moderated by stimulation frequency and age. These associations emphasize the importance of determining dosing parameters to achieve maximum efficacy.PMID:38183740 | DOI:10.1016/j.ajp.2023.103891 (Source: Asian Journal of Psychiatry)

Lesion network guided delta frequency neuromodulation improves cognition in patients with psychosis spectrum disorders: A pilot study
CONCLUSIONS: HD-tACS targeting V5/MT may be a promising treatment to improve cognitive abilities in individuals with psychosis. By promoting delta oscillations, tACS may enhance cortico-cortico communications across brain networks to improve verbal working memory, processing speed, and executive function. Large-scale investigations are needed to replicate these results.PMID:38183737 | DOI:10.1016/j.ajp.2023.103887 (Source: Asian Journal of Psychiatry)

Interpretable deep learning model for major depressive disorder assessment based on functional near-infrared spectroscopy
CONCLUSION: Our study demonstrated the potential of integrating the fNIRS system with artificial intelligence algorithms to classify and stage MDD in clinical settings using a large dataset. This approach can potentially enhance MDD assessment and provide insights for clinical diagnosis and intervention.PMID:38183738 | DOI:10.1016/j.ajp.2023.103901 (Source: Asian Journal of Psychiatry)
