Association of Cardiovascular Health in Young Adulthood with Long-Term Blood Pressure Trajectories
CONCLUSIONS: Moderate or low CVH status in YA is associated with elevated mid-life BP trajectory. These data suggest that young adult CVH promotion may be important for primordial prevention of hypertension.PMID:38666584 | DOI:10.1093/ajh/hpae047 (Source: American Journal of Hypertension)

Hypertension Prevalence and Control Among People With and Without HIV - United States, 2022
CONCLUSIONS: PWH were more likely to have hypertension than people without HIV. Geographic and racial disparities in hypertension prevalence and control were observed among PWH. Optimal care for PWH includes comprehensive strategies to screen for, prevent, and manage hypertension.PMID:38668635 | DOI:10.1093/ajh/hpae048 (Source: American Journal of Hypertension)

Performance of home-based and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in obese children and their correlation with end organ damage
CONCLUSION: The study highlights 24-hour ABPM's vital role in classifying hypertensive status, especially in high-risk children. The diagnostic performance of HBPM shows poor sensitivity in detecting MH and lower specificity in identifying WCH compared to ABPM. This limitation translates to missed opportunities for early preventive interventions.PMID:38661395 | DOI:10.1093/ajh/hpae049 (Source: American Journal of Hypertension)

Prognostic effect of masked morning hypertension in Chinese inpatients with non-dialysis chronic kidney disease: A multi-center retrospective study
CONCLUSIONS: MMH is an independent risk factor for all-cause mortality and combined cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in NDD-CKD patients, underscoring its prognostic significance. This highlights the need for comprehensive management of morning hypertension in this population.PMID:38625716 | DOI:10.1093/ajh/hpae044 (Source: American Journal of Hypertension)
