Pregnant in Residency?
Generally speaking, is it doable to deliver during Residency? Any time better than another? Been married 5 years, struggled with multifactoral infertility for 3 years. Dr recommends IUI. My husband and I want to try this, but I am supposed to start residency in July. So, obviously holding off for little bit-- didn't want to be obviously pregnant during interviews and miss beginning of first year. I was just curious what those of you that have been thru similar situations or can relate would... Pregnant in Residency? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Iui
I'd like to get some feedback from anyone that has gone through IUI with femara or injectables and had success. My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for over 3 years now. Not only is my CF an issue, but he also has mild male factor. We did 2 IUIs in 2013 that were unsuccessful and sought a 2nd opinion and at that time was told that IVF w/ICSI was the way to go. Well, turns out, unless I can find an IVF clinic that will do the retrieval in an OR, IVF will not be an option for us. Anesthesiologists from two clinics are not comfortable with placing me under the anesthesia. Now we are being told that IUI will...

F508 and I148T/possible CF symptoms?
Hi, I'm new to this forum. Does anyone have this combination? My DS (8) has these 2 mutations, which we knew about since birth when he tested positive in his newborn screening but negative in his sweat test (I carry the F508 and my husband carries I148T). We were told that he may develop atypical CF and be infertile but he has never had a follow-up appointment as the reports were buried in his pediatrician's file. Fast forward 8 years...our DS has been to many specialists (neurologists, allergists, endocronologist, psychiatrists) for issues ranging from eyes rolling in the back of his head to anger management & anxiet...

How to begin to address infertility issues? (Male partner who has CF)
Hi all, My husband has CF. We have been married 3 years and have always hoped that we will be able to have a family, whether biologically or through adoption. We have decided recently that we might be ready to start exploring our biological options. I have done enough research to know that we will likely have to do IVF, and that the first step is to do genetic counseling (I have no idea if I am a carrier). However, we recently moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina... and I am honestly at a loss as to how to begin this process. I don't have any healthcare providers set up yet (we moved one month ago). Another...
