So what is EM really like?
Hi all EM attendings and residents, I'm a final year medical student in INDIA planning on an EM residency in the US in a couple of years. I have been reading online about all the specialities and EM has piqued my interest the most. Upon further research on forums and websites I've come across a lot of negatives about the field too and I had a few concerns. I have never been in an actual ER because in India we don't really have ERs, just trauma centres and undergrads don't really get any... So what is EM really like? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Foreign Trained Dentist - How to Become Licensed In the USA
I am a foreign trained dentist from India. I arrived in the USA several months ago and I am still very confused how can I get a license to work as a dentist. The rules are very confusing and very unclear. I know that each state has its own rules and I am having a hard time understanding the rules. Are you familiar with any online resources that can help me understand the steps I need to take to receive my dental license in a particular state in the USA? Does anyone know of any... Go traditional med route in US or study in India? need some advice please ...
I'm currently a highschool senior and thinking of either going to UT Dallas with a full ride and stipend for biology (any other suggestions for a major?) or going to India for med school, most likely Sri Ramachandra Medical College. My ultimate goal is to be practicing in the US with an anesthesiology or cardiology specialty. My main concern for the traditional US route is the low likelihood of being accepted into an MD program. I did some research and AAMC says for Texas the acceptance... Go traditional med route in US or study in India? need some advice please ... (Source: Student Doctor Network)

is this enough time to study for mcat?
I am really on the fence about this and desperately need advice: I have the opportunity to do a 3 week mission trip in India from Mid-september to second week of october; however, I am planning on taking the Jan 2020 MCAT and am wondering if I will have enough time to study for it after I return. If I begin studying in mid October after returning, will I be prepared to take the MCAT in mid/late January? (13.5 - 14 weeks to study). (I will have no other commitments in the fall other than... is this enough time to study for mcat? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

School LIst
Hello! As we near the getting to the too-late-to-submit-secondaries stage of the cycle, I last minute was wondering if what you all thought of this school list, and if I should apply any more schools. I have a 3.71 cGPA, 3.6sGPA, 513 MCAT, average ECs (no significant shadowing however), ORM from CA (Indian) who went to a top 10 undergrad. Thank you so much.
