abcess antibiotics
Hello, just wondering if anyone has treated an abscess with just antibiotics. It seems like that the general practice is to do I/D +/- antibiotics. Also, what are some common antibiotics that have good abscess penetration? I'm guessing that the antibiotic you're using would be even more tailored to the type of abscess you're treating (ex. GI vs. superficial), right? Thanks everyone in advance.

Texas Dental Schools OOS
Hello SDN,
What is your take on applying OOS to dental schools in Texas?
I am thinking about applying to UThealth Houston and San Antonio. I have heard that their dental schools are great, and I have noticed that they are very cheap also. I am thinking about practicing as a general dentist in Texas one day as well.

Hi everyone, I am currently an undergraduate biology student struggling to decide between continuing my education in veterinary school or in a graduate program in the animal sciences. I have experience working for a veterinarian as well as working in a microbiology research lab.

Is pedo right for me?
The deadline for match submit is next week and I'm not sure if pedo is right for me. I could use any advice from current residents or practicing pediatric dentists. Did you ever doubt it was a right move for you or were you always 100% into it? A year ago I was so into it, but after going through the interviewing process, my heart was not so much in it.
