So confused....no diagnosis...stop looking?
Looking for confirmation my 8 year old daughter doesn't have cf. Wondering what is going on. Has environmental allergies (as shown on skin tests 2x). Diagnosed with asthma 2 yrs ago due to cough...no wheeze ever. Last school year had bacterial pneumonia in Sept (x-ray at er) and bacterial pneumonia in May (2 night hosp stay). Possible pneumonia in mid June...treated but no x-ray. In past has seen GI for possible reflux and genetics b/c she didn't sweat. Sweating has slowly started and they think possible connective tissue disorder. Recurrent pneumonias have lead to numerous tests. She's been doing really well sinc...

Mom/Son with CF Have a Chance to Win- Please Vote!
Hi there, My son, with CF, now 18, had always received unhelpful nutritional advice from our CF docs. Through the years, I have found what works for him and helped him be a healthy weight (no dairy, good fats, and more). from this journey, we have developed dairy/gluten/soy free brownies packed with nutrient dense hemp that have been a huge hit and we have made it into a business, helping others with food allergies have good, healthy treats to enjoy. we are now in the running to win $100,000 from Chase. I am sure everybody out there can relate to how needed that money is. I have raised my son alone, ex-husband never paid...

Headaches and Muscle Cramps
Many CF warriors experience chronic headaches. I have not yet heard from any doctors a clear and reasonable explanation as to why we have the headaches. My suspicion is that CF is not directly the cause of the headaches, but all the stuff we do and go through as a result of CF can point to several culprits. All I can contribute to this issue is my own experience. I have gone through periods of time with continuous headaches (if I don’t medicate the headache) and periods of time with absolutely no headaches. By the process of elimination, I have come to some conclusions. Due to CF causing a rapid depletion of vit...

Food Allergies - I am becoming allergic to EVERYTHING!
About 5 years ago I started having very loose stools, stopped absorbing my food and had a burning irritated stomach. I started noticing a correlation with milk and eventually figured out that I had a dairy allergy. Once I cut dairy out of my diet the burning in my stomach went away, I began absorbing my food again and everything went back to normal. Since then I have slowly but surely become allergic to just about all foods including rice, soy, chicken/egg, beef, pork, fish/seafood, wheat, nuts, potatoes etc. I am basically living on two foods now, corn and quinoa. I can also have some green vegetables such as broccoli, ...
