Problem resolution scale: A single ‐item instrument for easily assessing clinical improvement
This study describes the development and tests the validity of the Problem Resolution Scale (PRS) —a single-item measure developed by researchers at Systemic Practice Research Network (SYPRENE) for assessing the degree to which the focal problem of therapy is perceived as resolved. Data were collected at termination from 747 clients seen across 18 therapists. Results suggested good construct v alidity, supported by a strong correlation between client and therapist perceptions as assessed by the PRS (r = 0.71,p <  0.001). Good criterion validity was also supported by strong correlations between client-reported ...

How young people perceive change to occur in family therapy for anorexia nervosa: a qualitative study
ConclusionsCurrent data match relatively closely with theoretical models of FT-AN and emphasise the importance of building trust with all family members, including the young person. Additionally, supporting the family to create a trusting context in which there is a sense that the only way out of the illness is by going through it (rather than avoiding it) is critical. Empirical investigation of each of the described mechanisms is needed. (Source: Journal of Eating Disorders)

Attachment as an intermediary variable between childhood maltreatment and perceived partner responsiveness in adolescents and young adults
We examined whether CCM is related to PPR via attachment in French-speaking adolescents and young adults. A sample of 427 individuals in a romantic relationship and another sample of 159 couples completed self-report measures. In both samples, a person's CCM was associated with their own lower PPR via their higher attachment anxiety and avo idance. In the dyadic sample, a person's CCM was associated with their partner's lower PPR via their own higher attachment anxiety. Attachment insecurities help understand the associations between CCM and PPR and may represent an important intervention target. (Source: Journal of Marita...

Internet-based psychoeducation and support programme for relatives of young people with early psychosis: results of the first German-language intervention
DiscussionThese results provide preliminary efficacy estimates for a fully powered RCT to investigate superiority (or equipoise) effects of the ePSP in comparison to the routine face-to-face family therapy groups. This future RCT will also allow further exploration of ePSP to improve access to psychological therapy for relatives of young people with psychosis, also in relation to the new ground-breaking Digital Healthcare Act in Germany.
