Reverse Remodeling in Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction Induced by Sacubitril-Valsartan: 3-Dimensional Echocardiography May Be a Useful Tool for the Future
The structural changes that occur in the left ventricle in heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) because of the activation of neurohormonal changes are known as remodeling. Initially, remodeling is a compensatory mechanism to maintain cardiac output in the face of a decrease in stroke volume, before eventually becoming pathologic.
