Will current M2s get a Clinical Education?
Hypothetical here: Schools are shutting down rotations for M3s/M4s. M2s will be starting rotations in July. Let's say that the Coronavirus continues for a year. Our resources will be drained and there may not be enough attendings to teach OBGYN, psych, surgery, etc. Will the M2s of today be woefully unprepared for residency? What will schools decide to do with new M3s in July if this doesn't die down? Discuss. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Coronavirus: Residents being told to work in DIFFERENT specialty
Just got word that residents at my institution (a large academic medical center in NY) across *all* specialties (OB, Peds, Psych, etc.) will be required to staff and work adult medicine floors as expected adult admissions, including to the ICU, increase as more test positive and need hospitalization. Some floors such as Psych may close for the time being as well if needed and instead open admits to adults with the virus. Anyone else hear about this? Is ACGME okay with this? Also saw this... How has coronavirus affected your University?
Hey, just curious how things are going on where you are. I'm studying at an Australian university and our schools med program has already cancelled all clinical days indefinitely at the hospital to follow the government's recommendations. However, the dental school is still just business as usual, even though we're at the same hospital. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Alright, who wants to help me create a Certified Coronavirus Pharmacotherapist (CCP) certificate?
I’m thinking maybe $500-$750 a pop, do a few hours of webinars, a couple quizzes, and something they can print off at the end. Do I need a formalized business plan or is that enough? Sent from my iPhone using SDN mobile (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Coronavirus
Anyone concerned about traveling and thinking about cancelling their interview(s)? Has anyone heard if other schools are considering e-interviews? I'm not sure, yet, but I'm wondering if any school will reach out to us saying there's a change in plans, etc. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Coronavirus and medical school?
With university campuses already changing their course delivery methods (ie no in person classes) in hopes to mitigate the effects of SARS-COV-2, will medical schools make any changes with respect to their own course delivery? Why or why not? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Thought experiment concerning COVID-19's impact on pharmacy school admissions
How coronavirus is changing admissions | Inside Higher Ed Sessions for admitted students are going online, and graduate programs are worried, as are undergraduate programs that are well-known enough to have applicants from far away. And then there's next year. www.insidehighered.com I'm curious about how a protracted coronavirus outbreak would affect pharmacy school enrollment. My own school of pharmacy barely had 30 students admitted for the fall P1 class a few weeks ago. Do you guys think COVID will contribute to already declining enrollment...

Shutting down M3/M4 clinical rotations
It seems like many med schools are making the move to limit in-class meetings and clinical work in M1/M2, but do you see any schools outright canceling M3/M4 clinical rotations for coronavirus? I don't see how this could possibly work. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Real Estate and Coronavirus / Recession
We just entered day one of escrow on a home purchase. I'm watching TV tonight and the madness with COVID-19 continues. Stocks continue to drop. Everything is being cancelled. One NBA player contracts it and they shut down the ENTIRE LEAGUE. No flying from Europe to USA. All mass gatherings are going to be on hold. In short, I think our world is going to "hibernate" or just "pause" for the next few months, maybe 3-6 until we get a hold of this thing. Question is whether this is a good...
