Hallelujah! Dat done.
What's good SDN, I just finished my DAT today around 5PM. PAT: 22 QR: 23 RC: 19 :thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown BIO: 20 GC: 24 OC: 22 TS: 22 AA: 22 Before I begin, I must thank all the SDN members for the tips and information about this tedious test. Also, I want to add that before I started studying for this test, I had almost zero knowledge of OC and GC because my freshmen and sophomore year of College weren't the best years academic wise.. yeah. Still managed to maintain a GPA above 3.0, however. Materials Used - CHAD (make Chad your best friend for the summer!) - KBB - Cliff's - CrackDat - DAT Destroyer - QVault - ...

lab questions from general chemistry on DAT
Some people mentioned that there are questions like lab-related stuff on general chemistry section on DAT. I've watched all the Chad's gen chem videos and went through kaplan blue book, but I didn't find anything about lab related stuff. Could anyone tell me what this is about and where I can find the information that I can study for? Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network Forums)

Chad's Videos
Has anyone here used Chad's Videos to study for the MCAT? How well do you think they prepare you for gen. chem., orgo., and physics? Would you say you can score AT LEAST at 20 using these videos as your sole source of studying for those subjects? In addition to doing AAMC exams + I plan on using EK bio (Source: Student Doctor Network Forums)

Chad's videos
Has anyone used ONLY Chad's videos for studying chem, orgo, physics? Would you recommend them if you only had a month to study? (Source: Student Doctor Network Forums)

AAMC practice exams- are they worth it?
Hi, so I'm taking my mcat on sept 7th and obviously like anyone else; I'm extremely nervous about it. I will be starting to take practice exams but I'm not sure where to go for that. I know AAMC offers free test #3 for practice but should I also purchase other ones? I have studied off of the Kaplan books, mcat osmosis, and chad's videos so far. I haven't taken a practice exam so I'm not entirely sure how much info I know but I know Kaplan has 2 practice tests after the review has been done but are those tests similar to the actual mcat exam? If you suggest buying the AAMC practice exams, which one would be the best to purc...

ACT score? I need answers!
Okay I'm a senior and I got a 16 on the act in June.. obviously I didn't try. I randomly bubbled half the test. I signed up for the ACT in September and I realized that I really need to buckle down. I need to get a 24 on the ACT. is this possible? I bought 5 ACT books ( barrons, Princeton review, Princeton review 1296 problems, The real act prep guide, and chad cargills act book ) and once they come in I will study everyday for the test. Also when school starts my math teacher is going to help me everyday prepare for the act. Does anyone have any successful act stories? Any advice? Oh yeah and this test in September is VE...

DAT Retake Improvements and support for others
This is my first post on SDN. I have been following these threads off and on for about 4 years now. Before you read any further this post is not for those of you that expect to read something about an amazing score or all the materials that I used, rather I hope to provide some encouragement and words of advice based of personal experience. (I have slept about three hours in 2 days so I hope my thoughts come across clear when writing). First thing. Get on SDN and see what those who have done well used for their studying material- 99% of the time it is cliffs/barrons/ feralis/alan's notes (really they are all super simi...

Re-applying to medical for Fall 2015
by ngeorge1989 (Posted Mon Jul 29, 2013 8:42 pm)I first applied to medical school starting the summer of 2010. I went through the application process and spent a lot of time and money with no luck of even an interview. Given my poor MCAT score this wasn't too much of a surprise. The first time I took it I did not take it seriously (biggest mistake of my life) and that was, surely enough, reflected in my sore (19M). After getting slapped in the face by that score I spent the next 3 months really buckling down and studying hard. I ended up getting a 26N (PS:11 VR: 8 BS: 7) even though I consistently scored above 30's on my p...

Question about studying for PCAT
I am currently using Chad's videos to study for Gen Chem, and Quantitative reasoning, and Barron's AP biology book, also I am going to buy Barron's PCAT study book. What else you think I can use to study that will help me greatly for PCAT, or is this enough? Also, is there an Organic Chem section in the PCAT? I have DAT destroyer can I use that to study for PCAT? I am going to register to take the PCAT in September and planning to apply this cycle 2013-2014, do you think my application would be delay, and would it hurt my chances in getting accepted? My Study Plan - Critics Welcome!
Hello, I recently started studying for the MCAT (May 8th) and am needing some advice from past and present MCAT takers. I received a set of EK 7th Edition books from my UG's pre-health advisor to study with over the summer. After diagnostics I have found that my BS needs the most work (wanting an ~6 point improvement!). I'm considering purchasing the BR set of study material as I'm afraid the EK set isn't going to go as in depth from what I've read so far (only BIO Lecture 1). I've been watching some of Chad's Videos and it seems like this is a great way to go; however, I'm planning on buying a lot of AAMC Practice FLs an...

Titration calculations
Do we need to know how to calculate titrations? Chad has a whole video on tirations calculations and I was wondering if we need to know how to calculate a titatrion since BR doesn't apply this concept. All BR talks about for titrations is indicators and titration curves. (Source: Student Doctor Network Forums)

April 2013 DAT DONE + Breakdown!
TEST DONE. Thank you SDN dental folks! I lurked the hell outta this forum in preparation for this exam and it definitely helped me feel more systematic, optimistic, and less alone in this crazy process. Breakdowns really shaped the way I studied for this test. I owe everything and my first born child to this community. Time to pay it forward! My scores: PA 25 (99.0%) QR 24 (99.0%) RC 24 (94.0%) Bio 24 (98.9%) GC 23 (95.4%) OC 23 (94.4%) TS 24 (99.1%) AA 24 (99.6%) A nostalgic reflection of how I spent the past 3 months: Started studying in February, took the test late April, so ~3 months of studying. I’m a non-traditi...

Nomenclature
I have been going over the DAT destroyer and some kaplan practice questions. There are some Nomenclature questions that are really hard to figure it out. I know that most people say DAT destroyer is hard. But I am wondering, how much Nomenclature should I know.. I listened Chad videos they seem really helpful but I feel like some questions go beyond what Chad mentioned on his videos. Based on your real DAT experiences (the ones who has taken the test before), how challenging Nomenclature can get? (Source: Student Doctor Network Forums)
