Pediatric preseptal and orbital cellulitis - a 6 year experience from a London tertiary centre
CONCLUSIONS: We recommend all patients with superior SPA be treated at a centre with both ENT and orbital surgeons as these may not be amenable to drainage by ENT alone.PMID:38165256 | DOI:10.1080/01676830.2023.2296563 (Source: Orbit)

Multispace Maxillofacial Space Infections Involving Orbit: Report of a Rare Case
In this report, we present the case of a 62-year-old man with a history of tooth pain and diabetes mellitus for the past decade. The patient exhibited symptoms of swelling, multiple draining sinuses, pain, proptosis, and fever. Prompt action was taken to drain the multiple abscesses, and the causative teeth were subsequently extracted. This case illustrates one of the severe complications associated with odontogenic infection, which has the potential to be life-threatening. The VASCERN PPL working group patient pathway for primary and paediatric lymphoedema
The objective of this patient pathway is to improve patient care by reducing the time to diagnosis, define the best management and follow-up strategies and avoid overuse of resources. Therefore, the patient pathway describes the clinical evaluation and investigations that lead to a clinical diagnosis, the genetic testing, differential diagnosis, the management and treatment options and the patient follow up at expert and local centres. Also, the importance of the patient group participation in the PPL WG is discussed.PMID:38143023 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejmg.2023.104905 (Source: European Journal of Medical Genetics)
