(Penn State) Cancer cases in adolescents and young adults have risen by 30% during the last four decades, with kidney cancer rising at the greatest rate, according to researchers at Penn State College of Medicine. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a microaerophilis, spiral bacterium that is a prevalent human pathogen. How this infection affects individuals is different in adults and children. Young survivors of acute myeloid leukemia have long-term complications from treatment
(University of California - Davis Health) Adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients treated for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) have a high risk of developing several long-term health complications after treatment, a study led by UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers has found.
