Low-cost simulation model for ultrasound-guided punch biopsy and puncture: Construction manual and photo examples
Conclusion It was shown that it is possible to produce an inexpensive agar-agar-based ultrasound model in a short time and with easily available ingredients to learn ultrasound-guided punctures and punch biopsies.

Molecules, Vol. 29, Pages 1351: Green Approach to Enhance the Recovery of Polyphenols from Blackcurrant and Bilberry Leaves: Evaluation of Microwave-Assisted and Pressurized Liquid Extraction
vić-Uzelac The aim of the present study was to evaluate microwave-assisted (MAE) and pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) for the recovery of polyphenols from blackcurrant and bilberry leaves and the preservation of their antioxidant activity. The extractions were carried out varying the solvent/solid (SS) ratio, temperature and time. During MAE, increasing the SS ratio increased the polyphenol concentration in the extracts from blackcurrant and bilberry leaves, while increasing the temperature had a positive effect only on bilberry polyphenols. During PLE, only a temperature increase was a determining factor for the i...

Chemistry of plant extracts directs the silver nanostructures ’ crystal structure into hexagonally close-packed: a comparative study using elecampane and blueberry extracts
In this study, silver nanostructures (AgNSs) were obtained using aqueous extracts of elecampane (Inula viscosa) and blueberry (Vaccinium arctostaphylos L.). The synthesized AgNSs were characterized using UV –visible spectrophotometers, Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray analysis, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The optimization studies revealed that pH and the extract/AgNO3 ratio playe d significant roles in the morphology and size of the AgNSs, while temperature did not show any significant role. Both the...
