Applying DO with no DO shadowing
I am a reapplicant (3.9/513) who is planning on adding 6-8 DO schools to my list of 32 MD schools this cycle. I received 2 late MD IIs last year that resulted in 2 WLs. Anyway, I have been finding conflicting information on DO schools online so I had the following questions:
1. When is it considered "late"/hurting your chances when applying DO?
2. Is it worth waiting to apply to get DO shadowing experience or should I just apply with 0 hours? To preface my clinical experience, I have 4000...

Interest Gauge: Cooking Challenge?
Sooo on another forum I used to be involved in we used to do weekly cooking challenges; basically, every week we'd pick a different ingredient and have to use it in at least one dish for the week. We started off with really generic foods (ex: rice) and eventually moved on to more obscure foods like mango or avocado. This went on for quite a while and was lots of fun; every week everyone would post pictures of what they made (and hopefully recipes) and share it.
Sadly, that forum is no more....

Weight and BMI before feeding tube?
Okay, so I am trying to find out from CF folks what was your BMI and weight prior to getting a feeding tube and did you gain weight after placement and if so how much? I've lost quite a bit of weight since my Celiacs diagnosis and I was concerned cause my BMI is 19.32 right now and I weight 110lbs. I also can't have dairy products or anything with soy protein cause I have cross-reactivity issues due to the Celiac so this makes gaining weight difficult. I know, eat avocados, peanut butter (which I hate), nuts, olive oil, ect. but there's only so much of that stuff you can eat and I'm starting to feel completely uninterested...
